Seminar in Spain wants to show that blockchain can help in tourism

The International Seminar on Innovation and Tourism (INTO) wants to show in Spain that emerging technologies such as blockchain or artificial intelligence can help, among other things, in the security and competitiveness of tourism. This was reported by Europa Press on 14 October.
According to Europa Press in the Balearic Islands, the aforementioned seminar is promoted by the Directorate General for Innovation of the Regional Ministry of Energy Transition and Productive Sectors. This is the fifteenth edition, which will have an opening session and four thematic online sessions on 28 October and on 3, 11, 17 and 25 November.

The Ministry also reported that this edition is part of the Government’s Economic Reactivation Plan, and will focus on disruptive business models in the tourism industry.
„The aim is to show that emerging technologies such as the blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI) can help to achieve a safer, more sustainable, competitive and quality tourism model and to respond to the challenges and opportunities that the Balearic economy is experiencing,“ said the Europa Press publication.
